After years of dreaming and working, I am (finally) an official teacher. Starting on Dec 1st I will be Arcadia Elementary's new 5th grade teacher. I can not wait to start but I am feeling the pressure as my to-do list gets longer and longer. I have had only a few opportunities to do real work in my room and there is soooo much more to do! I have added shots of the room before I did anything. Note the blue and yellow, I hate it. I decided to go ahead with the color scheme I had my heart set on regardless of the awful blue and yellow. Everything is black, red, and white. So far, I have covered as much of the blue as I can. I love blue but the yellow....ugh! You may notice the Smart board in the 4th picture. Since I am in a temporary room, the board is not attached to the wall. It is on wheels and sticks about 2 feet out from the wall obstructing my view to the door from my desk. I experimented with some placements and finally came to a decision which I hope to post pictures of next time I can get in my room.
